DBS Foundation Outdoor Theatre is an open air stage which is right outside the Esplanade building. It provides free performances supported by DBS Foundation on weekends and public holidays.

56) Makan Angin sculptures by Lim Soo Ngee in 2014

Makan Angin is malay for "eating wind", which in Chinese means going on a vacation. The statues depict a family of five enjoying their vacation at the Esplanade waterfront.

59) Marina Bay Sands

Marina Bay Sands is an iconic landmark that is an integrated resort with hotel rooms and suites and an extraordinary rooftop Sands SkyPark with an Infinity Pool. It also has a great shopping mall, the largest nightclub in Singapore, world-class celebrity chef restaurants, a theatre, a Las Vegas-style casino, exhibition halls, a convention centre and an ArtScience Museum.

60) The Singapore Flyer

The Singapore Flyer is designed and built to rotate smoothly under various wind conditions at high altitudes. Each rotation is about 30 minutes.

From the Singapore Flyer, you can see up to 45 kilometres away and you’ll be able to see Changi Airport, Sentosa Island, and even parts of Malaysia and Indonesia.

When you see the Esplanade on your side, the Jubilee Bridge is on your otherside. After visiting the Esplanade, cross the Jubilee Bridge. This is a great spot to capture the Esplanade, the Singapore River, the Helix Bridge, Marina Bay Sands, the Merlion and the Fullerton Hotel.

61) Jubilee Bridge

Jubilee Bridge is a pedestrian bridge connecting Merlion Park and The Esplanade by spanning the Singapore River. It runs parallel to the Espanade Bridge.

62) Helix Bridge

The Helix is the longest pedestrian bridge in Singapore. It has a distinctive double helix structure modelled on the DNA structure. It spans Marina Bay, connecting Marina Centre with the Bayfront area and runs paralel to the Bayfront Bridge.

63) The Merlion

The Merlion’s lion head represents the city’s original name of Singapura (lion city in Sanskrit). Its fish body represents Singapore’s origins as a fishing village.

It was built by local craftsman Lim Nang Seng, designed by Kwan Sai Kheong. The Merlion statue stands at 8.6 metres and weighs 70 tonnes.

68) The Model of the Fullerton Hotel

This Model of the Fullerton Hotel was built to mark the 90th anniversary of the Fullerton Building. It was built in 198 hours using 478,500 LEGO bricks. It guards the exit of the Merlion Park.

Go back to the waterfront, walk past One Fullerton and walk towards the Fullerton Pavillion.
