Do visit and read the provided information plaque about how at the beginning of the Japanese occupation of Singapore during the 2nd World War, the Kempeitai (Japanese military police) and their hooded informants summoned all ethnic Chinese males between the ages of 18 and 50 and in some cases women and children to be interogated and identified. Those males, women and children suspected of anti-japanese resistance were executed.
