This is a record of my own DIY (Do It Yourself) tour that included Singapore's Chinatown and the surrounding areas. Starting at the Outram Park MRT station and ending at Clarke Quay MRT station. Feel free to follow my journey in a way that suits your health condition, fitness level, and pace, to explore and capture your fond memories of Singapore.
Chinatown is filled with wall murals, statues, heritage shophouses, temples, food centres, shopping malls, restarants, eateries, pubs, cafes, people, buildings and structures that are well worth capturing.
1) Starting Journey at Exit 6 MRT (EW 16, NE 3, TE 17) Outram Park Station
We are starting the journey at the Exit 6 of the MRT (EW16 NE3 TE17) Outram Park station.
While at the station, admire the wall murals inside Outram Park MRT Station.

At the Exit 6 of the MRT (EW16 NE3 TE17) Outram Park station, turn right and walk towards Kg Bahru Rd and Hospital Drive. On the way, look across the street to see The Pinacle@Duxton and some heritage shophouses.
2) The Pinnacle@Duxton
The Pinnacle@Duxton is an eye catching 7 blocks of 50 storeys high residential estates that are interconnected via skybridges on the 26th and 50th storeys. The skybridges create long and continuous skygardens, offering exciting views of the city skyline. Only the 50th storey skybridge is open to the public.

3) Heritage Shophouses along Kg Bahru Rd
The area along Kg Bahru Rd has been destinated as a conservation area to preserve its cultural and architectural significance.

Continue walking along Kg Bahru Rd until it became Jalan Bukit Merah and until you see the Sikh Temple opposite the Rd.
4) Silat Rd Sikh Temple
The Silat Rd Sikh Temple was built in 1924 and has been declared a historic site. It was name after the Rd it was built on, but the Rd has been renamed Jalan Bukit Merah.

Walk back towards Kg Bahru. Turn right into Kg Bahru Rd and continue walking until you see the Roman Catholic Church of Saint Teresa.
5) Roman Catholic Church of Saint Teresa
Roman Catholic Church of Saint Teresa was built in 1929. It was gazetted by the National Heritage Board as a National monument.
